Workshop about working in role and process drama with Kostas Amoiropoulos
InSite Drama organizes two days workshop about teacher and participants in role in process drama.
This two day intensive drama workshop is intended to provide teachers, theatre practitioners and other interested workers in the field of drama and education, with the opportunity to inform their drama and educational work in relation to the uses of role for the part of the participants and for the part of the teacher in process drama.
Specifically, we will work on:
- How to choose roles and their frames for the participants
- How we can help participants build their roles
- What kinds of roles are available to teachers and how they could be developed
- What kind of opportunities there are for teacher’s involvement through role
- Questions and answers’ reception in and out of role from the part of the teacher
The workshop will offer opportunities for the participants to understand through experiencing and theoretical explanation together with applying the new knowledge in situ.
Dates: Sat 18th & Sun 19th April, 2020 /// UPDATE: Due to COVID-19 we had to cancel the training, but we really hope we can welcome Kostas in Budapest next year.

The workshop will be lead by Kostas Amoiropoulos (in English), Hungarian translation will provided by Adam Bethlenfalvy.
Kostas Amoiropoulos is currently working as an early-years teacher in Greece and as the artistic director of the non-profit company ‘Diadromes in Drama and Educational Praxis’, Athens, Greece. He studied Drama in Education (PhD in BCU and MA in UCE, Birmingham, UK). He also has degrees in Theatre Directing (PGDip, Royal Holloway University of London), BA in Early Years Education, BA in Primary Education (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece) and a BA in DramaTheatre and Performance Studies (Roehampton University, London).
